Test Knitting!

I have the privilege of test knitting another pair of socks for an online designer friend.  Once again, the pattern is awesomeness. Love the "looks complicated" but "quick knit" feel to this pair.  Using KBC yarn in Mint Julep and the fit is quite perfect me thinks!

Puppy Photo Shoot!

We have had an unbelievable March weather wise so Krissy did an Easter photo shoot of the pups for me!  Coco's first photo shoot and he is learning to pose like Sadie and Ruby does.  These are my favorites!

Egg Cosy Love!

Granny Square a Day (a week) 2012!

Granny a Day 2012 has started at Meet Me At Mikes!  One of these years I'm actually going to do it, I so love Granny Square everything and it is such an awesome way to use up scrap yarn.  Great tutorial post here!

I finished the first sock of the Knitters Brewing Company KAL sock named Crosswired!  Absolutely love the color combination as well as the pattern and techniques.  A lot of fun to make!

Progress is made!

Even on early, warm Spring days,,,,,gotta get some knitting in!  Making great progress on my Crosswired socks!  So love these.

70+ Temps!

WOWSER, I think we have skipped Spring and bounced into Summer.  Mid-Michigan has had 70 plus temps for about 5 days now.  Of course, with that comes some hellacious storms and we got just that, in fact two tornadoes touched down close by.  Here is the hail.

But for the weekend, all the beautiful sunshine came full blast for an awesome way to spend St. Patty's day!  Yes, Krissy is wearing a tank top on March 18 in Mid Michigan.  It was actually hot! LOL

It is also Katrina's birthday weekend so we had to have ice cream right and Momma Lupo's is just opening for the season!  Stand Up Banana Split for me!  YUMMO!

And I fell in love with my Jeepster again, gave her a Spring cleaning inside and out!  Love it.

It was a totally busy weekend, even got the Harley out for a spin!  Smokes it was beautiful!  Lots of visitors as well, Rod and Rodney with Rodney playing Angry Birds (of course) then Rodney just being a goofy little boy! LOL

Craftsy!

Joined a fun new "all around" (knit, crochet, paint, sew, etc. ) craft community called Craftsy!  Loving all the new stuff out there.  Check it out!

Change?

Could things really be changing this much!?!?!?  We'll have to wait and see!

Change 2012

Seriously, if I'd known choosing "change" as my word of the year was a sign of things to come I'd have rethunk it! LOL  The most interesting part is quite simply that the changes that are going on and in the near future are not calculated changes, they are events happening out of the clear blue sky.  And the fun part, so far anyhoo, there hasn't been any bad or upsetting changes.  (Yes, I am knocking on wood and quite thankful for that.)
I'm not going to announce anything just yet as there isn't anything in concrete but it looks as if my life is going to make a major turn by the end of 2012.  The changes to come are so dramatic that the state of sleep is even more elusive than normal for me as my mind is mulling everything over.
Change mulling = get creative!  Onward progress for my Crosswired socks.  Loving how these are coming together for sure.  I've got the foot done of the first sock and heading for the heel!

A little bit knitty....

I spent Thursday and Friday this past week in Holland, MI for work and no knitting!  Didn't even take a project with me, I know right,,,I can't believe it either.  WOW am I ever out of travel mode to not pack some relaxation!  Howeeeevvvverrrr, I did make up for it Saturday and Sunday by finishing up my Borracha socks (KBC pattern) and

started the new Crosswired socks for the KBC KAL!  Love them both, especially love the colors I chose for Crosswired, Devil in a Blue Dress and Margarita with Salt!

Candle Jars!

I absolutely love having candles burning all over the house, the ambiance the soft glow provides as well as the fragrance is just so calming to me.  With that said, I'm not a happy camper at the cost of good candles these days, which is one of the reasons I absolutely love this tutorial.  Tea lights are not outrageously priced and goodness knows I have enough (never, never, never) fabric as well as jam jars to make up a houseful of these kutie jam jar votives!  Check out the tutorial at Mollie Makes!

Flannel Receiving Blankets!

Like those at the Purl Bee, I have lots of babies coming this year!  I plan on making a pile of these as gifts.  My Krissy, who is now 26, still has her handmade flannel with crochet edge receiving blankets!  They last FOREVER!

Read an e-book week coming up this week!  Come on and enjoy a few good books on your reader of choice!  Although I am promoting this, I personally would like everyone to read a book this week whether it's an e-book or a traditional book!  Just do it, let your mind run away in a good story!
