For years I've tuned into 60 Minutes every Sunday and it was primarily for the last few minutes of the show when Andy Rooney would impart his whit and wisdom to wrap things up. I was so sad when he announced he wouldn't be back to 60 Minutes and even sadder to realize in the back of my mind that he wouldn't be long for the world. That news hit today, RIP Andy Rooney, I've spent many an awesome Sunday with you finalizing my weekend!

I loved his segments, too. I do find it very fitting, though, that a man who so enjoyed what he did (and gave so much enjoyment to others) was able to do what he loved until the very end. I'm sure that's the way he wanted it....to work on 60 Minutes for as long as he was physically able......and I'm glad it worked out that way for him. He was a true icon.......and he will be missed. I think they broke the mold when they made him!
I feel the same way about Andy Rooney. I'll miss him and his quirky way of looking at life.
